Out of my many years of painting, one thing has never changed. We love our dogs. I have painted more beloved dogs that I can try to count. It has been an absolute joy, because they bring us joy! I love and admire my dog, Mako, not only as a loyal companion, but also for her work ethic. She was bred by humans for a purpose. In fact, all breeds were bred for a purpose. With this collection I want to honor that. Every dog breed has a story, just as every dog in our lives has a story. Although all dog breeds deserve to be honored, this collection specifically focuses on working dogs like my girl, Mako. From hunting and herding to military and police service, this group of dogs has brought us much more than just the loyal companion.
