Turkey Print
Printed on heavyweight matte paper with a 1/2in white boarder. Print has a hand-painted signature from the artist. Frame from photo not included.
Last year I learned A LOT about turkeys. My husband, Taylor, was on the pursuit for a trophy Tom to mount. This made general turkey talk a regular topic of discussion. They are VERY smart and not easily tricked. Their calls are very distinct and they love to taunt you with them. If you attempt to call back, they know you are a fraud pretty quickly, if you do not do it right. So Taylor and I obviously became professional turkey callers, practicing usually when we pass them hanging out in a field on the side of the road. One of a turkey’s favorite vegetation to hang near is large palm plants, which is why this background design seemed appropriate. Biggest lesson here, don’t under estimate a turkey! They are smart and beautiful, they got the whole package!
